Terms & rental policies
Effective October 12, 2026. A plain-English summary of how renting a Mr. Booth photo booth works.
Every rental is covered by the rental agreement you sign when you book. This page summarizes it. If anything here differs from your signed agreement, your signed agreement controls.
Your rental
Mr. Booth rents self-service (DIY) photo booths for a 24-hour period. We do not provide on-site staff or setup. You are responsible for setting up, operating and packing down the booth using the setup videos and instructions we provide, and you agree to review them before your event.
Deposit and payment
A $100 non-refundable deposit holds your date and is applied to your total. The remaining balance is due 7 days before your event. If the balance is not paid by then, the reservation may be canceled and the deposit kept. Payments are made through our secure booking page.
Pickup, return and late fees
You pick up and return the booth at the time and place we set together when you book. Changes to pickup or return times must be confirmed with us in advance. Equipment not returned by the agreed time is charged a late fee of $50 per calendar day.
Support during your event
Remote help by phone or text is available during the event time listed in your booking confirmation. Our support page includes setup videos, camera settings and troubleshooting guides.
Wi-Fi and sharing
Text, email and QR code sharing need a stable Wi-Fi connection, which you provide (a phone hotspot works). Without Wi-Fi, the booth keeps working and sends queued photos once it is back online. Printing works offline.
Venue and space
Plan for about a 10×10 foot area and one standard outlet within 25 feet. Outdoors, the booth must be under a covered patio, roof or tent and kept out of direct sunlight.
Equipment, damage and loss
Please return all equipment in the condition you received it, apart from normal wear and tear, packed in its original cases. You are responsible for damage to or loss of equipment during your rental. Items not returned are treated as lost and charged at full replacement value.
Optional damage protection plan ($29). Covers accidental damage to the equipment, with a $100 deductible per claim. If a repair costs less than the deductible, you pay the repair cost. It does not cover lost, missing or stolen items.
Limitation of liability
Mr. Booth is not responsible for injuries, photo quality, data loss or other damages arising from misuse, improper setup or operation of the equipment. You are responsible for the safe and appropriate use of the equipment during your rental. We are not liable for delays or failure to perform caused by events beyond our reasonable control, such as severe weather, vehicle breakdown, illness or equipment failure.
Photos
You and your guests may use your event photos however you like. See our privacy policy for how galleries are stored and how to ask us not to feature your photos.
