Privacy policy
Effective November 1, 2026. Plain-English answers to what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
This policy covers mrboothsa.com, our booking pages, your My Rental page (mrboothsa.com/my), and the photo booths we rent. "Mr. Booth," "we" and "us" mean Mr. Booth Photo Booth Rentals in San Antonio, Texas. Questions? Email contact@mrboothsa.com or text 210-934-2600.
What we collect
When you book or contact us. Your name, email, phone number, event date, event type, venue and any notes you share. Bookings, contracts and payments are handled in our own booking system at my.mrboothsa.com. Card payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number.
When you use the package builder. The date, event type, package and extras you choose, so we can show availability and your total and carry your choices to the booking page. To check availability, our site sends the date you pick to our booking system. We keep the date, event type, package and total you pick with our record of your visit, described below. Any extras you pick stay in your browser unless you save a quote or book.
When you browse our website. We use cookies and similar tools to see how the site is used and to measure our ads. These include the Google Ads tag and the Meta Pixel. They may collect information such as pages visited, the device and browser you use, and how you arrived at our site. We also keep our own record of each visit: a random visit number, the page you arrived on, the ad or keyword that brought you, your device type, and how far you got in pricing and booking, including the date and package you picked. We don't record what you type into forms. If you later save a quote or book, we connect that visit to your quote or booking so we can see which ads work.
When you save a quote or book. We keep your IP address and device details with your quote or booking, along with the ad's click ID if an ad brought you here.
At your event. The booth takes the photos, GIFs and videos your guests choose to capture. If a guest enters a phone number or email to receive their photos, it is used to deliver those photos. Event photos are stored in an online gallery provided by our booth software (LumaBooth / fotoShare) so you can view, share and download them.
The booth during your rental. While the booth is on and online, it reports to us every few minutes: whether the camera, printer and photo app are working, its signal and free disk space, the name of the Wi-Fi network it's on, and its IP address and internet provider. From that connection we get its approximate location, such as the city, zip code and a rough point on a map. We can also view a picture of the booth's screen when we need to help with a problem. That picture may show guest photos or anything else on the screen at that moment. We use this to keep the booth working, help you fix problems and look after our equipment. We keep only the latest report and the latest screen picture for each booth, and the next one replaces it.
Between rentals. We may clear a booth for the next renter by forgetting Wi-Fi networks, clearing browser sign-ins and history, and removing event photos once they are in your gallery. Before that, the booth may send us a preview that names its saved Wi-Fi networks, its event folders and some of its files, so we can check what would be removed. We keep only the latest preview: the next one replaces it, and we delete it after 7 days. Our lasting records of each cleanup hold counts only, with no names.
Your My Rental page. Before pickup you use My Rental to get ready. We keep:
- Your login. You log in with the personal link we send you, or with a 6-digit code sent to the mobile number or email on your booking. We store only scrambled (hashed) versions of links and codes.
- Your pickup and drop-off times, and the name and mobile number of anyone you choose to pick up for you.
- Your signed rental agreement. We keep the exact text you agreed to, the name you typed to sign, whether you chose the Damage Waiver, and the date, time, IP address and device type when you signed.
- Your ID check. Stripe, our payments partner, checks your driver’s license or ID (and a selfie, if we ask for one) on its own secure page. Stripe handles those images under its privacy policy. We receive only the result (verified or not) and the name on your ID, so we can match it to your booking, never your ID photos.
- Your card on file. You save a card, Apple Pay or Google Pay through Stripe’s secure checkout. We see the card brand, the last 4 digits and whether it is a credit, debit or prepaid card, never the full number. Stripe stores the card so we can place the equipment hold at pickup and charge for damage, loss or late return under your agreement.
- The equipment check. At pickup and at drop-off we check each item with you and record its condition. If an item is damaged or missing, we take a photo. Those records and photos are kept with your rental and shown on your receipt.
- On your phone. My Rental saves a copy of your rental summary, the setup guide and your checklist ticks in your browser, so it keeps working with no signal. Logging out clears it.
Texts and emails about your rental. We send your login code, check-in link, pickup confirmation and calendar invite, reminders, the setup guide, your drop-off receipt, any payment request and your gallery link. Texts go to the mobile number on your booking (message and data rates may apply; reply STOP to stop texts). Texts are sent through Twilio and emails through our email provider (Resend).
The assistant in My Rental. When you ask the assistant a question, we send your question and your rental details to Anthropic’s AI service to write the answer. The details include your first name, package, printer, add-ons, booth number, pickup and drop-off times, and the name of your pickup person if you added one. We keep your questions and answers with your booking so we can check the help we give and improve it. With no signal, the assistant answers from the setup guide on your phone, and nothing is sent.
Our support page chat. When you use the support chat during your rental, we keep your questions and our answers for up to 30 days so we can check the help we give and improve it. When you start using the chat, your phone may ask to share your location. If you allow it, we save the approximate venue (for example, the street and city) with your chat so we know where a question comes from. Location is optional, and the chat works the same if you decline. Chat answers are generated with an AI service (Anthropic), and the approximate venue name is looked up through OpenStreetMap.
Design requests. If you choose a print design through our private design gallery, the names, dates and notes you enter are sent to our design provider (BoothWidget) so we can prepare your template.
How we use it
To take and manage your booking, prepare your custom template, verify your identity before handing over the equipment, schedule and coordinate pickup and return, place and release the equipment hold, charge for damage, loss or late return as your rental agreement allows, deliver your photos and gallery, check on the booth during your rental, answer your questions, send booking-related messages, improve our website, and measure how our ads perform. We do not sell your personal information.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers that help us run Mr. Booth, and only for that purpose: Stripe (booking payments, ID checks, saved cards, the equipment hold and rental charges), Twilio (texts), Resend (emails), LumaBooth / fotoShare (booth software, photo sharing and galleries), BoothWidget (design requests), Anthropic (assistant answers), OpenStreetMap (venue name for support chats), Cloudflare (website, My Rental, availability checks, support chat, booth reports and damage photo storage), Google (advertising, ad measurement and reviews) and Meta (ad measurement). We may also share information if required by law.
When you book after clicking a Google ad, we tell Google the ad click ID, the booking time and its value, so we can measure our ads. When you book, we send Meta a scrambled (hashed) version of your email and name, your IP address, your device details, Meta's browser IDs and the booking's value and package, so we can measure our ads. We don't send your phone number.
Text messages
When you give us your mobile number to get a quote or book, you agree to receive text messages from Mr. Booth about your quote and booking: one-time verification codes, booking confirmations, payment and pickup reminders, rental instructions, and replies to your questions. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop texts at any time, or HELP for help, or contact us at 210-934-2600. We do not sell or share your mobile number or text-messaging consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing. Your number is shared only with the service that delivers our texts (Twilio), for that purpose.
Your photos
Your event gallery is private to you and the people you share the link with. With your permission or as allowed by your rental agreement, we may feature a selection of event photos on our website and social media. If you would like any photos from your event left out or taken down, contact us and we will remove them.
How long we keep it
We keep booking records, signed agreements, equipment check records, damage photos and charge records for as long as needed to provide our service, handle any damage or payment questions, and meet tax and legal requirements. Personal links to My Rental stop working 30 days after your event. Online galleries are kept according to our gallery provider's storage period, so please download any photos and videos you want to keep.
Your choices
You can block or delete cookies in your browser and adjust ad settings in your Meta and Google accounts. You can ask us to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing contact@mrboothsa.com. Some records, such as payment records, may need to be kept by law.
Children
Our website and booking are meant for adults planning an event. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through this website. Guests of any age may appear in event photos taken at the booth.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top shows when it last changed.
